Every job is covered by risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) setting out infection-prevention measures, and we use dust screening and containment to keep debris and contamination away from clinical areas. Our practices align with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 Code of Practice on the prevention and control of infections, known as the “Hygiene Code”, so our presence on site supports your infection-control obligations rather than putting them at risk.

Most healthcare work happens in occupied, operational buildings, very often on a live ward, so it has to be delivered with as little disruption to patient care as possible. We plan installation and maintenance in phases and, where clinical routines demand it, out of hours or overnight, and we keep fire detection cover and escape routes fully maintained throughout so the building is never left unprotected while we work.

Our engineers operate to agreed permits to work and coordinate closely with your clinical, facilities and estates teams, scheduling testing, isolations and installation around ward activity. That means fire alarm and security upgrades can be carried out on a functioning hospital or care home without compromising patient safety.
